But how is it gross or sexist? It’s based on a more classic look

*deep inhale*

she’s literally fighting in a bikini. how classic it looks doesn’t matter at all, why is that difficult to understand

She’s fighting in a sports bra, fighting is a sport. Can you not put two and two together without being offended by something? Sorry for coming off so mean, but it’s just a video game character so there’s nothing wrong with it.

Zero Suit Samus has a new costume

arausito:

And guess what…image

It looks amazing. But, I’m just waiting for the people to complain about it. Like, really? REALLY? For a fighting game, this doesn’t look indicent or offensive.

"This is Sexual Objectification"

Has anyone played Street Fighter?

image

Soul Calibur?

image

or hell, even King of fighters??

image

Now, look back at Samus. Now you see the difference?

"Samus has never been sexualised before"

Clearly no one has played a Metroid game ever

image

"No one would wear those clothes by choice"

Gee! I don’t know

I think these women don’t mind that at all.

Just overheard a white guy with “dreads” say to another white guy “Japanese culture is so funny – they’re like obsessed with miniatures.” Other white guy responded, “yeah, and Japanese and Chinese cultures  have become so mixed and intertwined, they’re basically the same thing.”

Can I go throw my coffee in their face?

What. The. FUCK.

Isn’t racism fun?

…oh wait. NO.

I doubt that’s what they actually said and even if they did you have no idea on their backgrounds. One could be half Japanese or raised or raised by a Japanese family.  Even if they weren’t Japanese they could’ve watched a video of one of those weird anime fans who have 50 figurines of their waifu or whatever they call it and were discussing that video. Honestly that really isn’t casual racism and that guy knew he wasn’t speaking about the whole Japanese race, but people exaggerate in conversations to make them more amusing. Side note: why did you put quotes over dreads? Are you Japanese so you have the right to be offended?

So an update over my ire with the Disney Channel…

They send me a message saying they do not have an email inbox (Which is really an a-hole thing to do), BUT they gave me the number to their voicemail. It is NOT toll free, but I will share it with everyone who is upset with their misuse of ‘cultural appropriation’.

SIGNAL BOOST

What are talking about? Cultural Appropriation doesn’t exist and it’s also a good thing. Have you never left your country?

i still can’t take dreads being cultural appropriation seriously

Because it’s not. Cultural Appropriation doesn’t exist and if it does then it’s a good thing
